This shoot was a while ago, but I just had to share it because it is of my cute sister in law and her gorgeous family! We finally got together to do a shoot of her family at the beach. It was so fun to give them great family pictures and she did such a great job of decorating with them all over her house. I’ll have to post a pic of what she did sometime soon.

This little girl is a true beauty! I absolutely adore this first image of her. Can’t you just see what she’s gonna look like at 18? She had a lot of personality and was a joy to photograph. Oh yeah, and the parents are pretty great too. Enjoy!

We’ll folks the fall family portrait season is in full swing here at the studio. It really is my favorite time of year even though we always seem to be swamped and one step behind! We are so excited to see our “regulars” come back each year for family portraits. This family has been coming to me since their little one was in mommy’s tummy and it just keeps getting better each year. I just love all of  these!

Introducing some of our 2009 Holiday Cards!

This is just a small sampling of the gorgeous card designs we have available this year.

It’s time to start thinking about your holiday cards! Time goes fast, and before you know it it’s going to be November and we will all be scrambling trying to figure out what we are going to do for our holiday cards. Our cards are $84/set of 24 and are press printed on your choice of watercolor, linen, smooth, glossy or pearl papers. If you have already had a recent session and would like to use an image for your cards this year, just give us a call and we’ll be glad to get your holiday card order going for you. Our holiday mini sessions are also a great way to get that perfect shot for your cards.

Please keep in mind the deadline to order holiday cards is November 15th. If your order is placed by November 15th you will receive your cards by December 2nd. Otherwise your order will be delivered mid December. December 1st is the final deadline for all holiday orders! We are sorry, but anything placed after this date will NOT be guaranteed for Christmas delivery.

So I have been searching all over south county for some new awesome locations. All my past clients are wanting something different this year…probably since they’ve all already done the beach and the park! Well…my new favorite is definitely the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. There are so many beautiful spots, with texture and cool architecture and the landscaping is gorgeous! Anyway, this cute family had the 3 most adorable girls I have ever met! They were so sweet and spunky we had a great time together even though it was like 100 degrees and 90% humidity that day! They were real troopers and I think all of their hard work paid off, because these images are unbelievable. I’m still playing around and experimenting with vintage colors and textures…what do you think?

Busy, busy, busy…it’s so crazy around here! Spring has sprung and we have been swamped with outdoor spring sessions. This little guy took a long time to warm up, but I the last 15 minutes of the session he finally came around and we got some great shots of him running on the beach. I photographed him when he was a newborn two years ago! I just adore the curls…

There’s still a few spots left for our spring mini sessions in San Juan. Seriously, if you are interested in outdoor portraits of your kids, this is the time to do it! The location is fantastic with lots of great, interesting backgrounds and color and the mini session pricing is fantastic and is only available a few times a year. Don’t forget a cd of all your ordered images comes with each collection!

Once in a while in life you come across someone or a family that really makes a lasting impression. Their kindness, generosity, and genuine caring for others makes them stick out from all the rest and you are drawn to them. You may recognize the image below as one of my trademark images. It was taken just after I met a wonderful young mom who had come to me for maternity and newborn portraits of her second child. This young family is one of those that has left an indelible impression on my heart.



I have since then photographed her family and children several times documenting the loving, sweet family that they are. They have been some of my favorite clients from the first time we met. Last October, Amanda was diagnosed with a very agressive form of breast cancer at the young age of 29. Her courage and determination and positive attitude over the last few months are awe inspiring.

Next Saturday, March 7th all of her dedicated friends and family have planned a fundraising event for her which will provide direct help to her family in this time of great need as well as celebrate her fighting spirit and dedication to fighting this awful disease. Please consider coming to the event or making a donation in her honor.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you take the time this holiday to think about all you are grateful for and that you enjoy every moment with your family. As for me I am grateful for my family, my friends, and all of you!

This recent beach session was at Three Arch Bay in Laguna Beach. It was so beautiful and the family was so fun to work with.
