Be Grateful

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you take the time this holiday to think about all you are grateful for and that you enjoy every moment with your family. As for me I am grateful for my family, my friends, and all of you!

This recent beach session was at Three Arch Bay in Laguna Beach. It was so beautiful and the family was so fun to work with.

Cherish your family moments together

Well, it’s finally here, fall that is! We really don’t get fall leaves here in so cal. This is about as good as it gets. A little late afternoon sun and some snazzy photoshop work and we can make it happen. I love these images and this family. This is what it’s all about. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I just love that it is all about what we are thankful for…and family tops the list for me. Enjoy your week everyone and take some time to spend an afternoon walking through the park with your family. Hold them tight and cherish the moment. One of my favorite quotes…”Hold tightly to that which you cherish…”

Recognize this little one?

Oh my how they grow so fast!!!! This little guy is one of my favorite models. His newborn image occupies a nice 3×4 foot space in my studio reception area and is in many of my advertising and marketing materials. I can’t believe how much he has grown. This family is amazing and so fun to follow and to know. It is an absolute HONOR to be their family photographer.

Here’s his famous newborn image…

Another cute family

It’s that time of year! I get to see all of my favorite families who come back to see me year after year. It’s really one of my favorite things about my job - watching these families grow and change. This session was fun…it feels so much like Fall to me. Even though it’s been like 100 degrees this week. This day was cool and we barely made it before the rain. We actually had to run and take cover once or twice. This little one has the cutest red hair and the bluest eyes. She’s such a beauty!

My new favorite location

These were taken at the San Juan Mission and I am so in LOVE!!!! The landscaping is so beautiful and the mission has so much texture and great light for portraits. If you’d like a great spot for a family session this is it!  By the way, this gal is one of my favorite people, she owns Pure Pilates and she kicks my butt into shape and keeps me on my toes. If you want a great workout, you should try it out!

Family in studio

I have done so many family shoots lately! It’s that time of year I guess. This one was a family that won a silent auction at my son’s school. I love supporting local schools and charities, it’s a great way for me to give back to the community and get to know more people. Anyway, these boys were a bit tough to get loosened up at first, but once we got going I think they’d admit that it was pretty fun. :)

Just two for now

This was a recent family shoot in studio. I’m just playing around with browntone treatments. What do you think?

The cutest family ever!

I have had the privilege of photographing these beautiful children several times now. They just keep getting more adorable each time I see them. This time I was lucky to get to shoot the whole family at the park. The kids were great and and I love how natural and happy everyone looks in these images.

Seal Beach Sunset

This family session was for one of my favorite clients. She really wanted the session to be at a place that had meaning to her family, so I headed up by her home and did the session at the Seal Beach Pier. It was a new location for me, but it turned out to be a great one. It was a beautiful evening and the sunset was perfect! I was glad to get the silhouette shots of the entire family at the end.

Family at the beach

I photographed this young family at the beach before I went on vacation. It was a lot of fun and they were so cute together and so obviously happy and absolutely ga-ga over their adorable little boy.
