Little Miss Personality!

Talk about a fun session! This little one is so cute and full of personality. The best part was how she burst into a huge smile whenever daddy smiled and played with her. Oh I just love her! Don’t you think this could be an ad or something?

Love these…

This is my favorite time of year because I get to see all of my favorite clients! All of my repeat clients seem to come in the fall, just in time for holiday portraits. This little girl was one of my very first clients and it has been so neat to watch her grow up. She now even has a little sister. This first one is a storyboard of her running in the park. These images are going to be so perfect for the holidays.

I hope you dance…

This little girl was a kick in the pants! This was her five year old session. She started Kindergarten last month and her mom wanted to capture her fun, cute personality at five, before she had been in school too long. Something about sending them to Kindergarten, you feel like a bit of innocence is lost. She was so adorable and we had a great time spinning and dancing and throwing rose petals together. Her mommy has been a dear friend of mine for many years and got very sick just after the session and spent a week in the hospital. She’s home now and feeling much better, but I just want her to know that I’ve been thinking about her and hoping she is feeling well.

Anyway, these images reminded me of a favorite quote of mine…

Little girls dance their way into your heart,
Whirling on the tips of angel wings,
Scattering gold dust and kisses in our paths.

A great new location!

I’m digging up these pics from a few months ago, but I just had to share this awesome location. It is great for kids and families. Lots of color and great spots for portraits. This shoot was actually a commercial shoot for a little boys clothing line called HauteBoyz. It was a lot of fun!

Future AA Pilot?

This little guy’s grandpa was an American Airlines pilot. Isn’t he absolutely adorable? We had so much fun with him at a Hush Baby mini session. It’s been around a while, but I thought I’d share with all of you, because I think he is just the cutest!

Me and my teddy!

This little one was so cute and sweet! We got so many good shots, I had a hard time choosing which ones to post. I think I like the teddy bear ones the best!

Girls in white dresses

Another couple of gorgeous little girls in white at the park. These sessions are quickly becoming my favorite. I have a little problem…everytime I shoot another session, it’s my favorite! I guess I’m lucky because I just love what I do so much!

These kids were a crack up

I hardly had to do anything to get these kids to smile. They were so great together.

It’s all about the light…

I don’t know why, but I just love these images. They are from the family shoot I posted yesterday, but they have a bit of a different feel to them. I have really been experimenting a lot lately with outdoor light. With every one of my outdoor on location sessions I have really tried to push the envelope a bit and go into unknown territory. Out of my comfort zone to play with the light. I just love the results this time. They are so moody and playful, yet almost nostaligic or vintage. These look like they could be of me an my sister playing in the grass 30 years ago! I know this first one is a bit on the fuzzy side, but it almost adds to the mood. What do you think?

Pure Joy!

I love doing family shoots again. When spring is in full swing and summer is fast approaching I start getting the calls for family sessions. And oooohhh I just love to get outside and photograph the relationships I see in a family. I love to see how they interact, how they are naturally, how they enjoy spending time together. Capturing these moments so that they can be treasured forever is truly what makes me happy! Some of the shots from this session are absolutely priceless. The green grass and the light were just in perfect sync that evening and I honestly have no idea how they are going to choose! So I guess they’ll just have to get them all!!!!

Check out the blue eyes on these girls…have you ever seen anything like them?

This last one is just pure joy!
